Two Pitchers Team Up As Dubois County Bombers Shuts Out Henderson Flash

Dubois County Bombers defeated Henderson Flash 1-0 on Monday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Tobe Whitten struck out Zach Smith to finish off the game.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Dubois County Bombers pitchers struck out nine, while Henderson Flash pitchers sat down ten.

Dubois County Bombers opened up scoring in the second inning, when Tanner Craig singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

One bright spot for Henderson Flash was a single by Brodie Brown in the eighth inning.

Jacob Frankel got the win for Dubois County Bombers. He went eight innings, allowing zero runs on one hit and striking out seven. Whitten threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Whitten recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Dubois County Bombers.

Travis Hennessy took the loss for Henderson Flash. He went six innings, allowing one run on seven hits, striking out eight, and walking one.

Craig led Dubois County Bombers with two hits in four at-bats. Dubois County Bombers were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Chase Andrews made the most plays with ten.

Brown went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Henderson Flash in hits.
