Dubois County Bombers Fights Back In Loss To Muhlenberg County Stallions

Despite a 7-run deficit in the sixth inning, Dubois County Bombers almost came all the way back, eventually falling 9-8 to Muhlenberg County Stallions on Tuesday. Dubois County Bombers scored five runs in the failed comeback on a in the sixth, a sacrifice fly by Nolan Ramsey in the sixth, a walk by Tobe Whitten in the sixth, a sacrifice fly by Evan Kahre in the seventh, and a triple by Ramsey in the seventh.

Dubois County Bombers collected 12 hits and Muhlenberg County Stallions had nine in the high-scoring affair.

In the second inning, Dubois County Bombers got their offense started when Ben Wilcoxson singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.

Muhlenberg County Stallions pulled away for good with seven runs in the fifth inning. Colton Easterwood took the loss for Dubois County Bombers. He allowed six hits and seven runs over five innings, striking out five and walking one.

Dubois County Bombers racked up 12 hits. Cooper Trinkle, Wilcoxson, Payton Mattingly, and Ramsey all managed multiple hits for Dubois County Bombers. Trinkle led Dubois County Bombers with three hits in six at bats.

Muhlenberg County Stallions tallied nine hits. Jacob Morris, Horne, and Cary Holloway all collected multiple hits for Muhlenberg County Stallions.
