Paducah Chiefs Loses Lead Early In Defeat

Paducah Chiefs fell behind early and couldn't come back in an 11-3 loss to Dubois County Bombers on Thursday. Dubois County Bombers scored on a single by Cooper Trinkle and a walk by Nick Gonzales in the second inning.

The Paducah Chiefs struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Dubois County Bombers, giving up 11 runs.

Dubois County Bombers got things started in the second inning when Ben Wilcoxson drew a walk, scoring one run.

Dubois County Bombers scored four runs in the third inning. Chase Andrews and Gonzales each had RBIs in the frame.

Jacob Frankel got the win for Dubois County Bombers. He surrendered two runs on five hits over five innings, striking out four and walking one. Kevin Davis, Luke Fitton, and Colton Easterwood all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team toward victory.

Stone Selby took the loss for Paducah Chiefs. He went two and a third innings, allowing eight runs on ten hits and striking out one.

Paducah Chiefs totaled seven hits in the game. Reid Homan and John Mitchum all had multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Mitchum and Homan each managed two hits to lead Paducah Chiefs.

Dubois County Bombers had 20 hits in the game. John McDonald, Evan Aders, Wilcoxson, Trinkle, Gonzales, Andrews, and Evan Kahre each racked up multiple hits for Dubois County Bombers. McDonald went 4-for-6 at the plate to lead Dubois County Bombers in hits.
