Dubois County Bombers Loses Lead Early In Defeat

Dubois County Bombers watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 3-1 loss to Muhlenberg County Stallions on Friday. Muhlenberg County Stallions scored on a single by Justin Chauvin and an error in the second inning.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Muhlenberg County Stallions pitchers struck out six, while Dubois County Bombers sat down six.

In the second inning, Muhlenberg County Stallions got their offense started. Chauvin drove in one when he singled.

Adrian Comas was the winning pitcher for Muhlenberg County Stallions. He surrendered one run on three hits over five and two-thirds innings, striking out six. Jack Ockerman threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen. Ockerman recorded the last four outs to earn the save for Muhlenberg County Stallions.

Luke Fitton took the loss for Dubois County Bombers. He lasted three innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out two.

Evan Kahre, Cooper Trinkle, John McDonald, and Tanner Craig each collected one hit to lead Dubois County Bombers.

Bryson Horne led Muhlenberg County Stallions with two hits in four at-bats. Muhlenberg County Stallions was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Jacob Morris had the most chances in the field with seven.
