Dubois County Bombers Claims Lead In Eighth Inning To Defeat Hoptown Hoppers

Dubois County Bombers nabbed the lead late in the game in a 6-5 victory over Hoptown Hoppers on Sunday. The game was tied at five with Dubois County Bombers batting in the bottom of the eighth when Cooper Trinkle doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Dubois County Bombers earned the victory despite allowing Hoptown Hoppers to score three runs in the sixth inning. Hoptown Hoppers batters contributing to the big inning included Joe DeFina, Aidan Elias, and Malik Blaise, all knocking in runs in the inning.

In the first inning, Hoptown Hoppers got their offense started when MJ Rookard grounded out, scoring one run.

In the top of the sixth inning, Hoptown Hoppers tied things up at five when Blaise singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.
