The Owensboro Oilers Lost Their Night Home Game Against The Flash
The Owensboro Oilers lost their Saturday night home game with the visiting Henderson Flash. The final score was 6 to 4 in favor of the Flash. Henderson scored first with one run in the top of the 1st inning, then made it 2-0 with a run in the top of the 3rd inning.
The Oilers scored one run in the bottom of the 3rd to make it a 2-1 score, but the Flash answered with four runs in the top of the 5th inning to lead 6 to 1.
The Oilers rallied for three runs in the bottom of the 5th inning to narrow the gap to 6-4 in favor of the road team. Owensboro had a fair share of chances, but over the course of the game the Flash overcame four defensive errors by throwing out a runner at third, and two runners at home plate. The Oilers made their guests stave off a 9th inning bases loaded situation, but could come no closer than the 6 to 4 final.
