The Fulton Railroaders defeat the Paducah Chiefs, 11-0
In 7 innings. (From Fulton) In game two the Chiefs were the acting home team for scoring purposes to make up a previously rained out game in Paducah from the 7th of July.
The Railroaders' bats produced 13 hits from eight players and 11 RBI to total their score. Paul Salata's 1-for-2 homerun scored 3 RBI and he crossed the plate twice. Both Tyler Catlett and Derek Burns were 3-for-5 with a RBI each, with Catlett making it home twice and Burns three times. Matt Meihls and Austin Waugh both added 2 RBI each in the effort.
The Chiefs only managed 2 hits, a double by Davis Elliott and a single from Ryan Garner.
Alex Phillips gets the win for Fulton for a complete 7 inning shutout game. With only the 2 hits given up, he struck out 9 batters and had no walks.
Paducah's starter Dalton Mitchell takes the loss going 3 1/3 innings allowing 7 hits, 7 runs (6 earned), 2 walks with no strikeouts. Josh Wetzel pitched for 2/3 of an inning and Tyler Hicks completed the final 3 innings of play.
