The Fulton Railroaders defeat the Owensboro Oilers, 5-1

In 7 innings. (From Fulton) The Railroaders took both games of a doubleheader against the Oilers in Fulton on Thursday. It was only the second time in the season Fulton has put together back to back wins. The double loss for Owensboro broke a four game winning streak for the Oilers.

 

In game one, the Railroaders took a 3-0 in the bottom of the third inning. A two out double by John Ham for 2 RBI was followed by a RBI single from Chase Slone.

 

The Oilers' only run came in the fifth inning when Seth Woodard lead off with a solo homerun.

 

Fulton added two more insurance runs in the sixth. Paul Salata punched a 2 RBI homerun to give the Railroaders their final score.

 

Seth Hougesen went the complete 7 innings for Fulton and gets the win, his 4th on the year. He gave up 7 hits, one earned run, 2 walks and had 7 strikeouts.

 

The loss goes to Austin Morgan for a full 6 innings. He allowed 7 hits, 5 runs (4 earned), 2 walks and struck out 6 batters.
