The Hoptown Hoppers defeat the Fulton Railroaders, 16-6

(From Fulton) The Hoppers got back to their winning ways beating up the Railroaders in Fulton. Both teams combined to produce 34 hits that included a total of 5 homeruns, and 8 doubles. Neither team had a single error on defense.

After the first inning of play the teams were tied at 1-1 and remained scoreless until the top of the fifth inning. Hoptown broke out scoring 3 in the fifth and added 8 more in the sixth to take a 12-1 lead. 

In the eighth inning Hoptown put up one more run before the Railroaders finally started scoring in the bottom half with 5 runs across the plate. With the score 13-6 in their favor, the Hoppers weren't through and punched out 3 more runs in the ninth before shutting down the Railroaders in the bottom half. 

Chase Maddux get the win for Hoptown with 7 2/3 innings pitched. Seth Hougesen takes the loss for Fulton throwing 5 innings on the mound.
