(From Madisonville) The Miners downed the Bombers 14-4 on Wednesday night at Elmer Kelley to take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three championship series. The series shifts to Dubois County for Game Two on Thursday night. Game Three, if necessary, will be Friday night at Dubois County.
     Miner starting pitcher Kyle Vedrode earned the Win, and Bomber starter Willie Poe took the Loss.
     Miner catcher Andrew Tanous went 3-for-4, scored three runs, and drove in three runs to lead Madisonville at the plate. Cory Finkler went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and three RBI as well.
     Bomber Drake McNamara homered twice for Dubois County, picking up three RBI.
