The Fulton Railroaders defeated the Hoptown Hoppers, 4-3

(From Fulton) Down by two runs and at home, the Railroaders came from behind in the final inning of play to triumph over the Hoppers with a 4-3 score. 
     The Hoppers jumped to a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Ernie de la Trinidad led the game off with doubled and then scored from a Will Olson RBI single.
     Fulton tied the game in the bottom half of the second. A Tyler Bearden led off with a single and made third base following a bunt single by Kipp Moore and Jacob Elliott walk. With the bases loaded and no outs, The Hoppers turned a 4-6-3 double play allowing Bearden to score.
     The Hoppers quickly regained the lead in the third. Once more Ernie de la Trinidad started the inning with a walk, stole second and scored on a Matt Crowder RBI single giving Hoptown a 2-1 lead.
     Hoptown added an insurance run in the eighth inning. Matt Crowder singled, advanced to second on a passed ball and to third on a Railroader error. With 2 outs, Mitch Gallagher drove in Crower with a single to give the Hoppers a 2 run advantage.
     The Hoppers relieved their starter Bryan Cruse in the bottom of the eighth and brought in Christian Myers who held Fulton scoreless for the inning. At this point in the game, the Railroaders had only managed 2 hits off starter Cruse through 7 innings, and got 2 more off of Myers in the eighth but could not score. 
     Going into the ninth the Railroaders brought in Kyle Estand to hold the Hoppers at bay. The Hoppers were unable to add more runs. 
     In the bottom of the ninth with one out, the Railroaders mounted their comeback. Clay Reece, Lucas Eliason, and Drew Greenwood all singled to load the bases. Colton Aldridge followed getting a RBI walk to draw within a run of the Hoptown lead. Following a strikeout for the second out, the fate of the game rested on the shoulders of Brad Baldwin. With a full count at the plate and the runners off with the pitch, Baldwin shot a hard bounding grounder past the infield into shallow left field for a game winning 2 RBI single. 
     On the mound for Fulton; starter Dillon Symon went for 6 innings, gave up 5 hits, 2 earned runs, walked 3 and had 4 strikeouts. Logan Parret threw for 2 innings for 3 hits, one run (unearned), no walks and 3 strikouts. Kyle Estand takes the win for the final inning allowing one hit and handed out 2 strikeouts.
     A good game for Hoptown starter Bryan Cruse for his 7 innings, allowing only 2 hits one unearned run, 3 walks and 8 strikeouts. Christian Myers takes the loss for 1 2/3 innings giving up 6 hits, 3 earned runs, 2 walks and had 2 strikeouts.
