The Fulton Railroaders defeated the Dubois County Bombers, 6-2

(From Fulton) The Railroaders (13-9) rally in the late innings to tie then take the lead to beat the Dubois County Bombers (14-7) in Fulton.
     The Bombers broke a scoreless game in the third inning from a Noah Sadler homerun for 2 RBI bringing home Nick Barrientos who reached base on a single. for a 2-0 lead. A strong pitching performance by Bomber starter Kyle Ward, backed by a good defense, kept the Railroaders in check through 5 innings. 
     In the bottom of sixth, the Railroaders began their comeback. Lucas Eliason lead off with a walk then Clay Reece reached base on a bunt. Griffin Neuer followed with a single to load the bases. A pitching change by the Bombers brought in Hunter Spencer who quickly got 2 outs. Tyler Bearden came to bat next and hit a 2 RBI single to tie the game up.
     The Bombers threaten to retake in the eighth after Barrientos was hit by a pitch, batted to second and advanced to third on a wild pitch. Daniel Johnson followed on a walk to first, and that was all for Fulton starter Kyle Ward. Eddie Mathis relieved Ward on the mound and shut down the Bombers.
     In the bottom half of the eight the Railroaders moved ahead adding 4 runs. A game winning RBI single by Kipp Moore gave Fulton the lead. Three walks, an error and a fielder's choice accounted for the extra 3 scores to make the final 6-2 win for Fulton.
     The win goes to Eddie Mathis as the pitcher of record, entering the game tied. Hunter Spencer takes the loss for one inning pitched giving up the go ahead score.
     The second place Railroaders gain a game in the standings and are now 1 ½ games behind the first place Bombers.
