The Hoptown Hoppers defeated the Madisonville Miners, 11-5
The Hoppers came alive to win the night cap game of the doubleheader powering past the Miners early in the game.
Hoptown pounded out 9 runs through the first 4 innings of play using 9 hits and one Miner error.
The Miners finally got going in the fifth innings putting up 4 runs taking advantage of 3 Hopper errors and a RBI single.
The Hoppers added 2 more runs in the bottom of the fifth for their final talley. Madisonville picked up their final run in the seventh.
Three Hoppers had doubles in the game; Mitch Gallager with 2 along with one each for Will Olson and Ernie de la Trinidad.
The Miners received one double on the evening off the bat of Shane Connahan.
The winning pitcher for Hoptown was Nick Eggemeyer for 5 innings. The loss for Madisonville goes to Yancey Pritchett who went 1 2/3 innings.
