The Madisonville Miners defeated the Hoptown Hoppers, 4-2
In game 1 the Miners held on to beat the Hoppers in Hopkinsville.
After three innings of play, Madisonville clung to 2-1 until the seventh and final inning. In the top of the seventh the Miners added 2 insurance runs from 3 singles and a ground out RBI for 4-1 lead.
In the bottom half of the seventh the Hoppers managed one more run on a Ernie de la Trinidad solo home run, but it was too little to late.
Drew Mullinax takes the win on the mound going six innings. Colin Hudson picked up the save throwing for the final inning.
The loss goes to Parker Cash for five innings with Jordan Martin completing the last two innings for Hoptown.
