The Hoptown Hoppers defeated the Fulton Railroaders, 10-5

(From Fulton). The Hoppers continued their dominates of the Railroaders by winning a seventh victory over Fulton on the season.

     Hoptown scored their first run in the 1st inning from a solo homerun by Parker Cash.

     The Railroaders tied the game in the 2nd innings with one run off a RBI single from Tyler Marshall.  Fulton took a 2-1 lead in the 3rd scoring Troy Squires who doubled to start the inning and was driven in by a RBI single from Jeremiah Spring.

     The Hoppers produced 3 more runs in the top of the 5th off two hits and two costly errors by the Railroaders.  Only one run was scored by a RBI from a Mitchell Gallagher single.  

     Another run was scored in the 6th for Hoptown from a second Hopper solo homerun by Scotty Adkins.  The Hoppers added two more scores in the 7th with a fielders choice RBI by Gallagher and another Cash RBI single.  

     In the 8th inning, Ben Fisher put two more runs across with a third Hoptown homer for 2 RBI.

     The Railroaders managed to score one run the bottom of the 7th with a RBI single by Greg Fettes.

     Hoptown answered and put up their final run in the 9th from with a RBI ground out by Meade Kendrick.

     Fulton's final score came in the 9th with a bases loaded walk of Jeremiah Spring.  Trevor Blocker then came in the pitch for the Hoppers, threw one pitch to pinch hitter Reed Johnson who grounded into double play to end the game.

     The win goes to Health Petty for two innings pitched and in relief of starter Brady Walsh who went 4 2/3 innings.  The loss was tagged on Fulton starter CJ Lee who threw for 4 1/3 innings.  The two teams will meet again on Friday and Sunday with both games in Fulton to end their season series.
