The Owensboro Oilers defeated the Fulton Railroaders, 4-2
(From Fulton) The Oilers extend their winning streak to six games with a victory over the faltering Railroaders. Fulton out hit Owensboro 8-5 but trailed 4-0 through 7 1/2 innings before scoring 2 unearned runs in the bottom of the 8th inning resulting from an Oilers error.
The Oilers runs came early in the game. Top of the 2nd inning a two out double by Kyle Floyd positioned the first run for Cameron Wallace to hit a RBI single. In the 3rd inning the Tyler Rachel earned a RBI on a Fielder's choice driving in Alferdo Bohorques. With 2 outs and 2 men on, Cable Wright doubled to push 2 more runs across the plate.
The Railroaders were held in check until the 8th inning. Zach Bailey lead off with a double, was batted to 3rd and then scored on a throwing error from a ground ball hit by Riley Benner. Benner was award 2n base on the error and then scored off a single by Greg Fettes.
Starter Tanner Edge gets the win from the mound throwing 5 innings giving up 4 hits, no runs or walks and one strikeout. Mark Chemello picked up a save to close the final inning. Fulton starter Dylan Smith takes the loss for 5 innings pitched allowing 5 hits, 4 runs (3 earned), one walk and no strikeouts.
