The Fulton Railroaders defeated the Owensboro Oilers, 5-2
In 7 innings. (From Fulton) Game Two: The Oilers jumped out to an early lead scoring 2 in the first inning. A Kyle Floyd RBI single drove in one of two unearned runs resulting from the only Railroader error in the game.
Both teams battled scoreless until the bottom of the 4th when the Railroaders scored their first run off a RBI single by Dayton Rausch. Fulton broke out in the 6th inning beginning with a lead off solo home run off the bat of Trevor Hicks, his only hit on the evening. After a walk, a single and a sacrifice bunt, Troy Squires drove in 2 RBI with a single then scored himself off a Greg Fettes single for the final 5-2 score.
As in the first game both teams total 7 hits each, with both teams having one error each in the second game. The Railroaders stranded 8 runners and the Oilers 7 in the game.
Dylan Smith pitched the complete 7 innings for Fulton and takes the win. Mark Chemello takes the loss pitching the bottom of the 6th inning in relief.
