The Hoptown Hoppers defeated the Fulton Railroaders, 6-2
(From Fulton). The Railroaders dropped their first game of the season against the Hoppers giving up 9 hits and committing 3 errors. Fulton managed only 2 runs coming in the first inning. Hoptown offense was lead by Jeffrey Kammer (DH) who was 3 for 4 at the plate with a triple and totaled 2 RBI. Railroader Lance Mays topped out for Fulton with 2 for 3 scoring once and stealing 3 bases on the evening.
Hoptown's Korie Vine was the winner on the mound throwing for 6 innings allowing 6 hits, 2 earned runs, 3 strikeouts and one walk. The loss went to reliever Jake Bauer who threw for 1 1/3 innings giving up 3 earned runs and the go ahead score for the Hoppers. Fulton starter Fernando Gonzalez pitched for 3 innings allowing only one hit but was tagged for 2 unearned runs off a single Railroader error.
