(From Owensboro) The Owensboro Oilers won their Tuesday home game with the visiting Madisonville Tradewater Pirates. The final score was 4 to 2 in Owensboro's favor. Leading the way for the Owensboro offense were Cody Rogers who went 3 for 4 with a RBI double and Tyler Tichenor who went 2 for 5 with two doubles.
Owensboro starter Cameron Wallace got the win, pitching 8 strong innings, and striking out 8 batters. Kellon Hibbard picked up a save.
Madisonville played small ball to score their first run on a bunt, a sacrifice, a passed ball and a wild pitch. Matt Sheneman tripled in the top of the 8th inning and scored for the Pirates on a bloop RBI single for Ty Broady. The Pirates rallied no closer, and the game went to the home team. Madisonville reliever Jack Coleman took the loss.
