The Madisonville Pirates defeated the Hoptown Hoppers, 3-2

(From Madisonville)  Madisonville defeated Hopkinsville tonight, 3-2, at Elmer Kelley Stadium on Alfredo Bohorquez's walk-off base hit in the bottom of the 9th inning. The Bohorquez line drive into the gap in left-center drove in Ty Broady from second base and broke the 2-2 tie that the Hoppers had scratched out in the top half of the 8th inning.

     Madisonville scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning and was held scoreless from there until Broady's winning run to end the game. Hopkinsville scored both Hopper runs in the 8th inning.  Bohorquez finished the night 2-5 with one run scored and two RBIs. The Hoppers were led at the plate by Seth Larue, who went 1-3 with one run scored and one RBI.

     Pirate reliever Taylor Burr, on in relief of starter Aaron Mason, got the Win; Geordie Carlson takes the Loss for the Hoppers. Hopper starter Jake Bell and reliever Trevor Blocker both pitched well and got No Decision.
