The Madisonville Pirates defeated the Owensboro Oilers, 11-5

Tradewater starter Zach Uher would like to have his first start back as a Pirate. The lefty gave up no hits in 1.33 innings, but allowed six walks and two runs, and gave way to effective reliever Adrian LaRowe, who put out several fires. The Pirates ended up winning 11-5. after falling behind 3-0.  Uher found out his Mates had his back.  Several mighty mites- Joe Black and Kyle Niemeier, for example, made life miserable for the Oilers all night, as the Pirates collected 15 hits.

The Oilers finally broke loose in the 9th against Corey Ames, but it took several miscues for that to occur.  Even Kooper Kessler got in the mix as a reliever, and held the Oilers at bay. When the smoke cleared, the Pirates had evened things at 9-9 for the season, and gained on Marion, who lost to Fulton, and Hoptown, who took the night off.  The Pirates travel to Hoptown and Marion this week, before hosting Fulton on Thursday.
