The Fulton Railroaders defeated the Tradewater Pirates, 2-1

The Railroaders keep their pennant chances alive with a close win over the Pirates on Friday and sweep the 3 game series with Tradewater.  Fulton took a one run lead in the 1st inning after Mikee Moore singled, stole 2nd then score from a Joe Mike 2 out double.  The Railroaders added their second run in the 2nd with Colton Speed aboard with a single, stealing 2nd and scoring off a David Simmons 2 out single.  The Pirates' only run came in the 5th inning when Eric Herman doubled then scored on a JB Sapiienza ground out.  While the Railroaders committed 4 errors total, they were able to recover with several sparkling defensive plays resulting in the Pirates stranding 12 total on base.  Tradewater keep the game close with overall good defense with 2 errors and leaving 5 Railroaders aboard.  Starter and winner Miles Canady threw for 7 innings giving up only one earned run, 4 hits, 3 walks and struck out 4.  Jimmy Ryan polished off the final 2 innings for Fulton and picked up a save.  For Tradewater, Dylon DeLaune pitched a complete 8 inning game, allowing 7 hits, 2 earned runs, only one walk and struck out 5.  Fulton improves to 22-19 with their final season game on Saturday against the Marion Bobcats.  Tradewater continues on the road with 2 games left, one in Owensboro on Saturday and ending up in Marion on Sunday.
