The Marion Bobcats defeated the Owensboro Oilers, 4-3

In 7 innings.  In Game 2, The Oilers scored one run in the bottom of the 1st inning. Luis Mila led off the game with a single. One out later. Ryan Stephens brought Mila around on a RBI double. Owensboro led 1 to 0.  The Bobcats scored their first run of the day in the top of the third inning. With one out, Landon Weitekamp walked, then Taylor Banks and Desmond Roberts both reached on consecutive fielding errors, resulting in Weitekamp scoring. The score was tied 1 to 1.  Owensboro scored two runs in the bottom of the 4th inning. With one out, Davey Murphy singled, and moved to second on a late and elusive throw to first base. A strike out later, Luis Mila singled Murphy on to third base. Ty Stetson followed with with an RBI single to score Murphy. Ryan Stephens loaded the bases with a third straight single. A wild pitch in the next at bat allowed Mila in from third. The Oilers led again 3 to 1.  Marion came back with a run in the top of the 5th inning. With one out, Banks and Roberts singled back-to-back. Caleb Eickhoff drove in Banks with a RBI single, making it 3-2. The Bobcats took the lead with two runs in the top of the 7th inning. Weitekamp and Banks singled back to back to lead off the inning. Roberts followed by executing an ideal bunt. The challenge of fielding and throwing it cleanly in the fraction of time to do it led to a throw that escaped into right field's foul territory. Both Weitekamp and Banks scored as Roberts reached third base. The Oilers recorded three outs while keeping the score no worse, but went to the bottom of the 7th inning now down 4 to 3. Owensboro got a runner as far a second base, but the rally stopped there.  Bobcat starter Jeremy Jansen hung in the whole way for the win. Owensboro reliever Jim Mulvaney took the loss.
